A Travellerspoint blog

Day 78, ....Victoria Falls

The journey was slow, yet comfortable. We passed time with cards, quiet beers and reading. Scenery was mainly dense bush - spotted some critters as we passed through Hwange National Park. Soon found a tidy cottage for accommodation - all self-contained and cosy for seven of us. Went for big brekkie and booked a boarding trip on mighty Zambezi. Afternoon involved watching Kate hurl herself 111 metres off the bridge. Amazing to see the falls and gorges with its cooling sprays. Went shopping then straight to Explorers Pub. Our good intent of quiet night and big feed didn't eventuate! Beers, yarns, quick pizza, cob, cob and still pretty early night.
