Day 72, Blantyre - Harare (via Mozambique)

Our early bus departure (6.00 am) was worsened thanks to the evenings tortures. The 12 hour trip was relatively harmless, punctuated by regular border crossings. The bus was most modern so far and roads a good standard. Mozambique appeared more primitive in terms of villages and provided rugged green scenery. We were welcomed to Zimbabwe by rock hills and nice scenery. Excitement mounted as we reached modern homesteads near Harare. The city looked attractive - fast food, traffic lights, ATMs, etc. Taxied to Possum Lodge and enjoyed a big barbeque tea. Asleep about 9.00 pm!
