Day 112, Near Hazyview - Kruger National Park (Skukuza)

A good kip before driving into the southern end of famous park at 5.30 am. Initial reaction was disappointing as we encountered dense grass and shrub lands. It was a long day in the heat perusing the terrain, spotting periodic attractions. We spotted: kudu, impala, wildebeest, baboons, hyena, elephant, zebra, giraffe, warthog, buffalo, hippo, duiker, tortoise, dung beetle, rhino - six of the big nine, but unfortunately no cat! A long day but still lots of interest - especially a badly scared zebra and grazing huge rhino. Park accommodation was neat, four man tent - settled in before a large buffet meal and good sleep.
