Day 101, Cape Town

I sat up until late watching Otago rugby, so was jaded, yet enthusiastic, for our boat trip to Robben Island. It was a 30 minute, high speed, ferry trip to an island steeped in history. We did a bus tour viewing the prisoners' limestone quarry, great views of the Cape Town before entering the prison and seeing Mandela's #5 cell of 18 years! Interesting tour. Spent afternoon at sports café watching Five Nations rugby. Returned to hostel and got talked into going to a rave with Kirky, Anna and Lew. After a 30 minute drive to rural setting we were soon enjoying the music, visuals and atmosphere. Great location and dodgy set up.
