Day 99, Cape Town

We eagerly set off for our climb to the 1,086 metre summit of Table Mountain. It was a hard, steep climb (but only for 65 minutes), yet provided brilliant views of the city, its beaches, Robben Island and south towards Cape of Good Hope. Rock hyrax amused us before returning via the rotating gondola. We drove over to Camps Bay and ate on the popular beach and took a very quick, chilly dip in Atlantic waters. Rang Boyd's local mate, Graham, and met him and his friends at "beer carnival". Sampled beers at Belgium, Mexican, Austrian, Irish tents. Ended at a nearby pub and scored a ride home. Graham et al very hospitable.
