Day 95, Keetnamship - Springbok

After a hot night's sleep, we departed for another long day on the road. We took a shingle road detour west to view the popular Fish River Canyon. The lookouts provided a good view of the 550 metre depth and the dirty, dribbly Fish River below. Overcast skies allowed some respite from the usual heat. Amazing sight but difficult to gauge its grandeur. We drove on, stopping again for drinks and roadside sandwich lunch, toward Springbok. Scenes were dry, more rugged, roads lined with barren hills. Upon arriving we played touch with two locals for some exercise! A nice evening meal then early night in camp huts.
