Day 94, Luderitz - Keetmanshoop, South Africa

We departed the deserted backpackers after breakfast for the historic, derelict ghost town of Kolmanskop. Our free tour of the old mining township was interesting - homes and facilities sand-filled and sand-eroded since WW2. We decided to abbreviate our trip so as to watch some Super 12 action. We arrived at Lafernis Camp by early afternoon, organised some beers and a nice chalet. Time allowed a dip in gungy pool before a shower and an evening in the camps saloon bar supping quiet beers and getting a rugby fix with two live games - unfortunately no New Zealand teams! Boofed tasty hake.
