Day 93, Solitaire - Luderitz

After a sleep interrupted by temperature drops, we were back on the road early to the desert region of Namib-Naukluft National Park, where we ate brekkie then driving through picturesque sand dunes. We stopped to trek up Dune 45 and obtain some colourful photos. Also drove to Sossusvlei for an abbreviated look around. Temperatures exceeded 40oC as we drove initially east, then south along more metal roads, but some very unique scenery - desert wastelands, deserted roads and plains, dunes and some rock faces. It was a long hot day. Arrived at 7.00 pm and, deservedly, set off to a pub to catch some Super 12 action. Ate tender succulent ostrich meat.
